Join this behind-the-scenes look into the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

For more than 150 years, Brooklyn Navy Yard was one of our nation’s preeminent military facilities.  After the Federal government closed it in 1966, the Yard was taken over by the City of New York and re-opened as an industrial park.  Today, the Brooklyn Navy Yard is a vibrant industrial complex spread out over 300 acres along the Brooklyn waterfront and is undergoing its largest expansion since WWII.  Environmental sustainability, preservation and the celebration of the Navy Yard’s rich history are core components of this revitalization.

** Meet promptly at 12:45 for 1 pm bus departure at the corner of York and Jay Streets. Take the F train to York Street. Limited Capacity - Pre-Registration Required. Fees: $30.00 for non-members, $25.00 for members. Call 718-788-8500 for reservations and details. Online payments preferred.
